Human Trafficking Prevention Month

January is Human Trafficking Prevention Month

Since 2010 the government has dedicated this month to raise awareness about human trafficking and to educate the public about how to identify and prevent this crime. This month celebrates the efforts of organizations around the world that raise awareness on human trafficking and provide victim services. We at PATH (People Against Trafficking Humans, Inc.) have been raising awareness in the community since 2011. Our mission is to end human trafficking through education, prevention and restoration. Last year we were able to speak to 46 organizations and had six media interviews reaching hundreds of thousands of people in western New York and parts of Canada.

At our PATH Enrichment Center in Buffalo NY, not only do we provide support services for victims of sex and labor trafficking offering restoration and rehabilitation, we also work with those who have experienced trauma engaging in prevention efforts.

Our faith leads us and our goal is to let each person know that they are valued. There is a verse that says to each has been enriched in every way and we serve those affected by this crime to provide needed support services and to enrich and restore their lives.
